Alongside the rope-fixing Sherpas, and as the only foreigner, I managed to cross the 7,000-meter mark. The conditions were extreme: a storm, no existing tracks, and a huge amount of snow. Fortunately, my guide and the rope fixers were there; the climb would have been impossible without them.
