Beginning of a new adventure
I’ve safely arrived in Kathmandu, eager to get this new adventure underway.
Destination: Manaslu (8,163m)—my very first 8,000-meter peak.
After several weeks of physical training and hypoxia conditioning, I’ve reached Kathmandu before continuing on to Samagaun and then Base Camp. Summit push is targeted for late September, following a month and a half on expedition.
For this climb, I’ll be joined by two high-altitude specialists:
Tshering Pemba Sherpa: A renowned IFMGA-certified mountain guide specializing in 8,000m+ peaks.
Orianne Aymard: A renowned keynote speaker and high-altitude mountaineer who has successfully summitted both Lhotse and Mount Everest. I’ll be joining her once at Base Camp.
