At over 4,000 meters, the mountain sets its own rules. After a strong start to my acclimation, a persistent virus forced me to put the expedition on hold. I know that listening to your body and showing humility is the first step toward the summit.
I’m sharing this update from the hospital in Kathmandu, where I’m taking the time to recover. This forced rest isn’t a full stop; it’s a strategic detour.
Coming back down today is simply gaining the momentum needed to soar even higher tomorrow.
